Knitted cotton, fabric is a textile that results from knitting, the process of inter-looping of yarns or inter-meshing of loops. Its properties are distinct from woven fabric in that it is more flexible and can be more readily constructed into smaller pieces, making it ideal for socks and t-shirts.

Single Jersey cotton:

Single jersey knit is a type of knit fabric that is made from a single yarn. It is a smooth, lightweight fabric that is often used for making crew neck t-shirts, V-Neck t-shirts, henley shirts and crop tees. The fabric is made by looping yarn around itself using a knitting machine, with each loop of yarn being knitted into the next to create a continuous fabric. The fabric has one smooth side and one textured side that is usually called the back side of the fabric.

Single Jersey knit fabric is known for its stretch, comfort, and drapes well. Additionally, it is very versatile and can be used for a wide range of garments. Due to its lightweight and stretchy characteristic it is a popular choice for sportswear, casual wear and even undergarments.

Pique knitted fabric:

Pique knit fabric is known for its durability, resistance to shrinking and fading, and it's easy care properties. Due to its distinctive textured surface, it is often used for making polo shirts, golf shirts, and other types of casual wear. Pique knit fabric is also popular for making bed linens, tablecloths, and other household textiles. It can be made from variety of fibers such as cotton, polyester, wool, and silk, but most commonly is made with cotton for it's breathability, softness and durability.

Loopknit fabric:

Loop knit knitting structure is mostly used for making warm and cozy clothing items such as sweatshirts, hoodies, track pants, and trousers. The loop knit fabric is made of various fibers, cotton and polyester are popular choices because they are absorbent, durable and inexpensive. When we add fleece process to the loopknit structure, it'll give more thickness to the fabric thus in result resists thermal regulation. Loopknit fabrics can be used to make oversized t-shirts as it gives a swaggy look. Common loopknit knitting structures are 220 to 400 GSM.

Interlock Knit Fabric:

Interlocked knits are soft, have good comfort, breathability and absorbency. Because of the nature of their construction, they have good built-in stretch, recovery and retain their original shape over time. This material tends to hang quite well from the body making it an ideal and common material for casual and activewear garments.

A variation of the rib knit. Interlock knits are a compound fabric. Made by interlocking two simpler single yarn ribbed knits together using two needles that continually cross over each other. This continuously inter-looped knitting together of the yarn from each fabric interlock the two rows of looped stitches together creating duplicate symmetrical rows above and below which is what creates the resulting cumulative braided fabric.

This process of interlocking two separate fabrics together is why it is sometimes referred to as a double knit and results in a fabric that is thicker than regular knit fabric. This thickness and the materials inherent stability means that it is durable over time and less likely to curl. Interlock knits have the same texture and smooth appearance on both sides.
